Hannah Phelps
Hannah graduated from the University of San Diego in 2022 with a BA in Environmental and Ocean Science with a focus in Sociology. Prior to joining the San Diego Bird Alliance, Hannah worked as a Field & Lab Technician for UCSB’s Marine Science Lab where she contributed to wetland restoration projects and wildlife monitoring. This work is also where she discovered her passion for birds – particularly shore birds. Her career goals are rooted in coastal habitat conservation and the protection of natural resources, inspired by her interest in the dynamic intersection of land and sea. Through her work, she hopes to enhance the relationships communities have to their surrounding environments, cultivating widespread care and appreciation for the natural world.
