Anne Winder-Steed

Anne retired after a lengthy career that included banking operations, business ownership, and tech positions that took her to senior level management with a San Diego biotech.
She began her birding journey with her desire to reignite her passion for photography by attending Birding Outings with San Diego Bird Alliance. She quickly learned about San Diego County’s biodiversity superiority, as well as the important role SDBA plays working to protect, conserve and restore critical habitats. She has spent many hours volunteering for SDBA by restoring critical habitat, supporting the bird festival, as well as filling a role as docent at the Kendall-Frost Marsh. She is humbled, yet excited to serve SDBA in a new role.
Anne’s “day job” is as the Executive Director of a family foundation. Anne is a graduate from San Diego State University, with a B.S. in Business Administration (Marketing).
