Senay Taskin

Senay graduated from Sonoma State University (SSU) in 2024 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies, Geography, and Planning with an emphasis in Society, Environment, and Development. She discovered her interest for restoration and conservation when working at the SSU Native Plant and Butterfly Garden as a Restoration Steward, and found her passion for environmental awareness and advocacy while interning as a Naturalist at the Fairfield Osborne Preserve on Sonoma Mountain. She gave educational hiking tours to elementary students and community members. In her free time, she is volunteering at the Natural History Museum in their NAT Garden Corps. She is enthusiastic about community engagement and collaborative stewardship, and is always seeking to learn more about San Diego‘s local biodiversity and habitats.
